The O'Tom Hook

• Cradles the body of the tick without compressing the abdomen, minimizing the transfer of tick-borne infections.

• Removes the whole tick without compressing the tick's mouthparts and leaving parts behind in the skin.

• Removes the tick, quickly and without any pain.

Why is it safe to twist with this tool?
Twisting a tick with tweezers, forceps or other types of tool can exert pressure to the tick's mouth parts, breaking them off. The O'Tom cradles the body of the tick without exerting pressure to either its mouth parts or abdomen. It can therefore be safely twisted, which allows the tick's barbed proboscis to be freed from the surrounding tissue.

The O'Tom can be used on people and pets. It can be disinfected or sterilised. It is made from recyclable plastic, which can be incinerated without producing pollutant chlorine fumes.

Each pack contains two hooks (a large one for adult-sized ticks and a small one for larvae and nymph ticks).
